Introduction - Westlife

Westlife is an Irish group formed on the 3rd of July 1988. The group's original lineup was Mark Feehily, Shane Filan, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne and Brian McFadden. Although none of them seemed to be playing an instrumental full-time, it has been seen that Egan plays the guitar, and Bryan plays the drum, while Shane and Mark sing the lead vocals.

Westlife's first seven singles were the ever first to go straight to Number 1 in UK History, and they have even gone on to sell 43 million records worldwide. Simply, impressive, huh?

Well, other than their charming appearances, their Songs are out of t
he world,I'm serious. Though they're not as active as they are before, their songs are still played everywhere. This, here, is a list of their best songs that I love:
  1. Raise Me Up
  2. Seasons In The Sun
  3. My Love
  4. Home
  5. Amazing
The song, Raise Me Up is a popular song in the inspirational mould. The music was written by Secret Garden's Rolf Rovland and the lyrics by Brendan Graham. The song has now been covered more than 125 times. Westlife, together with original composer Secret Garden, performed the song at the 2005 Nobel Peace Price concert.

One of my favourites is Amazing, Amazing is Westlife's third single from their Face to Face album. The single is the band's lowest selling single. It peaked at #4 in the UK and quickly fell out of the UK charts. The music video features the band walking around in a vacant office building. It also shows a glimpse of a photocopier machine churning out paper continuously. You should all try listening to this piece, it's really good!
